April Snow will bring May Flowers

I'm so happy that there is finally some warmer days. Spring and summer are my favorite. It's been nice to enjoy the weather so we can actually get some work done outside. Of course I took a trip to my mom's nursery so she could help me pick out some flowers for my pots. I can't wait for them to fill in and get gorgeous and big.

Last fall we planted 3 trees in our backyard and they are just starting to bloom and it makes me so happy. Now i just need them to grow big and fill out so I can block my neighbors more :)

We got to plant a garden this year. Thank you to Austin for doing all the work. It looks so great. I'm most excited for tomatoes there is nothing better than garden fresh tomatoes. Hopefully it will give us enough stuff to make homemade salsa.

Happy Day

Happy Birthday to Me! I turned 25 this year, which I'm not that trilled about. I keep getting older chronologically but I'm not keeping up with that number. But I think this will be a good year. Austin and I have some fun plans ahead of us that we will get to make come true now.

I worked night shift my birthday and let me tell you it was a shift to remember. I came home to this beautiful spread and was completely surprised! I just expected to climb into bed but Austin was up waiting for me. It made my whole day. He got me everything I asked for; flowers and chocolate covered strawberries. Plus all my other presents.

Working

So I'm not sure how much I like working yet. I'm working night shift which is 7pm till 7am. That is just weird in itself. I don't find it very hard to stay up all night the hard part I have is switching back to being up in the day. Plus i feel bad for all the people that have to deal with me because I am apparently ornery. I didn't know I was being so until after like the 6th person told me. So my apologies up front :) All in all though I like working as a nurse I like the responsibility, the challenge and all the new opportunities to learn. and the pay raise is really nice too :)

Christmas time!

This is the 2nd Christmas Austin and I have been married and we were all excited to get the Christmas stuff and be all festive. Well it was mostly me that was excited but Austin likes to humor me :) Austin went to the garage for me to get the stuff and came back with one box and said "oh i guess we don't have much stuff". I guess stuff comes with many years of being together and adding each year.

The 2 stockings are for the dogs they try and sneak on the fireplace to smell their treats. They think they are so sneaky.

We got another fresh Christmas tree from my mom's nursery. Although this one I think is a dud because it doesn't smell at all! Austin thinks the tree is having a party because of the stuff I put in at the top. But I think its cute.

Sasha was brave and let us wrap her up in lights. Kiah ran away and hid.
I can't wait to celebrate Christmas this year again with Austin and family. I love everything about the holidays.

RN Graduation!

As you can see it's been a while since my last post. That is because 2 reasons. 1st there hasn't really been anything too exciting to post. And. . . . 2nd I've been busy finishing nursing school. Well here is graduation and I'm finally done with school. I only still need to take the NCLEX state boards. Whis me luck :) This is the class I graduated with. It was a fun, funny and eclectic mix of people but I'm so lucky to have made true friends with some. I couldn't have been able to make through nursing school without so much support for those that love me. Especially my husband that has had to put up with so much! Thank you Austin for being so great and taking care of everything that I couldn't manage. I love you. And thanks to my family and friends I'm sure you've never heard so much complaining.

You can tell we don't care about the picture but will stand in a group to apease everyone else. We were so-o done with it all!

My super cute friend Jenny. I think we share part of our brains. She is the greatest person ever to sit next to in nursing school. Who else would draw pictures and doodle with you when we should be learning.
I'm so happy to be done but now I'm anxious for what is ahead. Still a ways to go. Must pass boards, search and apply for jobs and then actually be the nurse. It still seems a little weird.

10 Days Off!

Austin and I finally some time off together! It was also the week of our first anniversary and we decided to have some fun. So the night before our 10 days off started Austin and I decided we wanted to go to Vegas before we went on our camping trip. We thought we would make it a cheap trip (yeah right)! All the same though it was a lot of fun even if it was about 110 degrees the whole time.

We stayed at the flamingo it was cool i guess.

The pool was nice but way too packed!

This was our breakfast at Hash House a Go Go and it was the best breakfast I've ever had! It was so huge I didn't even eat half of it.

Austin's pancake is the biggest I've ever seen and so tasty! He got about half his breakfast down.

Volcano at Mirage. It made the 110 degree weather about 150 degrees.

We came home for a day and then took of to Idaho towards Sawtooth national forest. Much further than you would think by looking at the map. I thought it was worth the drive though it was beautiful and hardly any people to deal with.

Curfew creek (although it really is a lake).

The dogs LOVED camping!

This is Sasha's chewing stick

Sasha is a mean dog. This is her sitting on Kiah. Don't be fooled by Kiah's smile she hates it!

Beautiful double rainbow.

One Year!

Happy first anniversary. I can't believe that only one year ago we had the most wonderful wedding! Austin and I were so nervous and excited. I couldn't stop smiling and shaking during the ceremony. I'm surprised my bouquet isn't blurry in the pictures :) I still can't believe how amazing that day was when I married the love of my life.
