Christmas time!

This is the 2nd Christmas Austin and I have been married and we were all excited to get the Christmas stuff and be all festive. Well it was mostly me that was excited but Austin likes to humor me :) Austin went to the garage for me to get the stuff and came back with one box and said "oh i guess we don't have much stuff". I guess stuff comes with many years of being together and adding each year.

The 2 stockings are for the dogs they try and sneak on the fireplace to smell their treats. They think they are so sneaky.

We got another fresh Christmas tree from my mom's nursery. Although this one I think is a dud because it doesn't smell at all! Austin thinks the tree is having a party because of the stuff I put in at the top. But I think its cute.

Sasha was brave and let us wrap her up in lights. Kiah ran away and hid.
I can't wait to celebrate Christmas this year again with Austin and family. I love everything about the holidays.

RN Graduation!

As you can see it's been a while since my last post. That is because 2 reasons. 1st there hasn't really been anything too exciting to post. And. . . . 2nd I've been busy finishing nursing school. Well here is graduation and I'm finally done with school. I only still need to take the NCLEX state boards. Whis me luck :) This is the class I graduated with. It was a fun, funny and eclectic mix of people but I'm so lucky to have made true friends with some. I couldn't have been able to make through nursing school without so much support for those that love me. Especially my husband that has had to put up with so much! Thank you Austin for being so great and taking care of everything that I couldn't manage. I love you. And thanks to my family and friends I'm sure you've never heard so much complaining.

You can tell we don't care about the picture but will stand in a group to apease everyone else. We were so-o done with it all!

My super cute friend Jenny. I think we share part of our brains. She is the greatest person ever to sit next to in nursing school. Who else would draw pictures and doodle with you when we should be learning.
I'm so happy to be done but now I'm anxious for what is ahead. Still a ways to go. Must pass boards, search and apply for jobs and then actually be the nurse. It still seems a little weird.

10 Days Off!

Austin and I finally some time off together! It was also the week of our first anniversary and we decided to have some fun. So the night before our 10 days off started Austin and I decided we wanted to go to Vegas before we went on our camping trip. We thought we would make it a cheap trip (yeah right)! All the same though it was a lot of fun even if it was about 110 degrees the whole time.

We stayed at the flamingo it was cool i guess.

The pool was nice but way too packed!

This was our breakfast at Hash House a Go Go and it was the best breakfast I've ever had! It was so huge I didn't even eat half of it.

Austin's pancake is the biggest I've ever seen and so tasty! He got about half his breakfast down.

Volcano at Mirage. It made the 110 degree weather about 150 degrees.

We came home for a day and then took of to Idaho towards Sawtooth national forest. Much further than you would think by looking at the map. I thought it was worth the drive though it was beautiful and hardly any people to deal with.

Curfew creek (although it really is a lake).

The dogs LOVED camping!

Sasha is a mean dog. This is her sitting on Kiah. Don't be fooled by Kiah's smile she hates it!

Beautiful double rainbow.

One Year!

Happy first anniversary. I can't believe that only one year ago we had the most wonderful wedding! Austin and I were so nervous and excited. I couldn't stop smiling and shaking during the ceremony. I'm surprised my bouquet isn't blurry in the pictures :) I still can't believe how amazing that day was when I married the love of my life.

Getting there. . . .

We have had a cute little yellow house but not anymore. Austin spent weeks getting the house ready to paint. Seriously probably 4 weeks prepping the house and 3 hours to paint. Lots of work! Well it looks so beautiful and I really love it. It was a shock at first to see the changing color but it looks so good now. It's fresh and clean and much more of our style. There is a few things still left to do still but I couldn't resist comparing pictures.

I'm so happy with the way it turned out. We are still gonna put black shutters up and do some more with the yard and our little home is getting to where we are liking it much better. But all things come with patience time and money.

Meet our new puppy

This is . . . . . well acutally we still are working on a name for her but we went to the animal shelter today to look at the doggies and see if any of them would be a good fit with Kiah. Well this adorable thing is what we brought home. She is so fun and has a similiar personality to Kiah they already love playing with eachother. Right now actually they are both passed out on the floor from exhaustion (a dog's life is rough). I'm super excited for our new puppy. She is a black lab mix about 1yr old and full of lovable personality. The names I'm considering so far are Sasha, Ali, Indie and Raili. Let me know what you think or if you have any good names let me know.

Day Trip

So during my 1st few day off of school I still had to work and of course that is when the weather was nice. But it was still fine because we got lots of yard work done together. Well last Friday we were bored and sick of the crappy weather so we packed the dog and headed to antelope island. Not sure what we would find to do but it was a lot of fun walking across the sand out to the water and then hiking up the hills. It turned out not to be such a bad day out there we missed all the rain that day. However, we did have to deal with the nasty invisible bugs :)

Kiah's little hide out.

It was windy promise i don't usually style my hair straight up.

Silly dog climbed sraight up this boulder.
